I’ve spent 10 years working with hundreds of different hosting companies. Which one(s) are the best?
DreamHost is based in Los Angeles, CA. It’s a privately owned company that was founded in 1996. It is one of the highest rated hosting choices out there, boasting about an average online rating of about 4 out of 5 stars.
DreamHost has a long list of features to satisfy your personal and business related Web hosting needs. For $10.95 per month, it offers you unlimited disk storage space, domains, emails, and monthly data transfers. DreamHost gives you your first .com, .net, .org, or .info domain for free. For additional domains, you’ll need to pay the registration fee.
With the VPS plan, you can get unlimited email, storage, and monthly data transfers, plus 300MB of RAM ( all that for just $15 per month). However, for $249 per month, you will get 16GB of RAM. Dedicated server options start at $169 per month. This includes 1TB of storage, 16GB of RAM, and unlimited data transfers per month.
DreamHost has a generous money-back guarantee policy; you can cancel your shared web hosting service within 97 days. Another great thing about DreamHost is its number of security features. It also includes a healthy amount of domain-management tools.
Unfortunately, DreamHost lacks Window-based servers. The general consensus is that while DreamHost Hosting has an extensive list of features and cheap prices, it is not exactly noob-friendly. In other words, DreamHost is a great option for those that are relatively experienced in website administration, but may prove difficult to grasp for those that are just starting out.
